‘Enchanting Balete’ features Mutya ag Lakan it Kalibo Ati-Atihan finalists

The finalists of the Mutya ag Lakan it Kalibo Ati-Atihan pageant will stage a fashion show in Balete,
Aklan on October 22, according to festival organizer Kalibo Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc. (Kasafi). 

The aspirants will be parading the latest creations of Bantigue de Aklan, described as stylish, bright coloured fashion wear with matching accessories, as part of the run-up to the finals of Mutya ag Lakan it Kalibo Ati-Atihan on January 11, 2013.

Kasafi chairman Albert Menez said this will be the first time for a large audience to see the 2013 Mutya ag Lakan finalists in a stylish fashion show at the Mayor Teodoro F. Calizo, Sr., Memorial Civic Center (MTFCSMCC) starting at 7 p.m.

Menez said the finalists will also perform in a fashion show at Kalibo Pastrana Park during the Kalibo Ati-Atihan opening salvo.

Balete Fiesta

The town of Balete is celebrating this year’s fiesta in honor of St. Raphael Archangel with month-long activities to be culminated on October 24, the feast day of town’s patron saint, with the celebration of Enchanting Balete festival.

The month-long activities actually started last September 24 with an Eco Art, a recycle art contest for elementary and secondary schools in Balete, Aklan.

Other activities lined-up are Enchanting Balete photo exhibit at Museo it Akean, Kultura Balete on October 19, Miss Balete Eco Tourism pageant on October 20; Grand Alumni Homecoming of Balete Academy on October 21; Balete Basketball Association Tournament from September 29 to October 23; Mass Wedding, Balete Rescuelympics and Enchanting Balete Awards on October 22; Dawn Mass and Procession on October 24 and Festival Dance competition on October 24.
