2013 Kalibo Ati-Atihan Route of Parade

 
Day 1 – Monday, January 14, 2013 (Afternoon)

2:00 pm – Aklan Festivals Showcase (17 Municipalities)

Assembly Time: 12:30 Noon

Assembly Area: From D. Maagma Street (from Sarok Rotonda) to Castillo Shrine, from Castillo Shrine to corner Acevedo Street, from Mabini Street (in front of Mercury Drugstore to Caltex station) along C. Quimpo Street.

Route of Parade: From Mabini Street (in front of Mercury Drugstore) turn left to Roxas Avenue (counter flow traffic), turn left to Pastrana Street, turn right to Arch. Reyes Street, turn left to C. Laserna Street, turn left to XIX Martyrs Street then enter Kalibo Pastrana Park for the program activity.

Day 2 – Tuesday, January 15, 2013 (Afternoon)                   

2:00 p.m. – Parade of college students and teachers of Aklan State University (ASU) campuses

Theme:  “Viva kay Senor Sto. Niño”

Assembly Time: 12:00 noon

Assembly Area: From D. Maagma Street (From Sarok Rotonda) to Castillo Shrine, from Castillo Shrine to corner Acevedo Street, from Mabini Street (in front of Mercury Drugstore to Caltex station) along C. Quimpo Street.

Route of Parade: From Mabini Street (in front of Mercury Drugstore) turn left to Regalado Street turn left to Martelino Street, turn right to Arch. Reyes Street, turn left to C. Laserna Street, turn left to XIX Martyrs Street then enter Kalibo Pastrana Park for the program of activity.

Day 3 – Wednesday, January 16, 2013 (Afternoon)

2:00 p.m. – Pagdayaw sa Senor Sto. Niño (Parade of Department of Education Students) with Floats

Theme: “Sinaot sa Calle”

Day 6 – Saturday, January 19, 2013  Bisperas it Kapistahan it Senor Sto. Niño

4:00 a.m.   -  Dawn Penitential Procession

8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Big and Small Tribal, Balik Ati, and Modern Group, Individual Ati-Atihan Street Dancing Contest

Assembly Time: 6:00 a.m – 7:30 a.m.

Assembly Area for All Tribes coming from Western Side (Numancia, Makato, Malinao, Lezo, Tangalan, Ibajay)

1. C. Laserna Street corner Roxas Avenue to corner Regalado Street

2. Oyo Torong Street corner Roxas Avenue to corner Dr. Gonzales Street

Day 7 – Sunday, January 20, 2013 Kaadlawan it Kapistahan it Senor Sto. Niño

 7:00 a.m.- 9:00 a.m. – Transfer of Senor Sto. Niño de Kalibo image and Pilgrims' Mass (Cathedral Parish of Saint John the Baptist façade)

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon – All Ati-Atihan Participants Merry Making

3:00 p.m. – Religious Dance and Procession

Procession Route: From Saint John the Baptist Cathedral, turn right to Arch. Reyes Street, turn left to C. Laserna Street all the way to M. Laserna Street, turn right to Acevedo Street, turn left to D. Maagma Street, turn left to Mabini Street, turn left to Roxas Avenue, turn left to Pastrana Street, turn right to Arch. Reyes Street then enter Kalibo Pastrana Park and wait until 8:00 p.m. for the final blessings. All devotees will bring back the Sto. Niño de Kalibo image to Saint John the Baptist Cathedral.

The ringing of church bells and fireworks will start once the Sto. Niño de Kalibo image enter the Cathedral, the Cathedral’s door will close and this officially ends the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Festival 2013.
